Root-cause, relationship-centered mental health care for anxiety, depression, burnout and life transitions.
Hello, I’m Andre Douglas, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
I’m a holistic Nurse Practitioner who believes we have the power to heal ourselves. Healing comes through movement, nutrition, nervous system regulation, spiritual connection, and community
My path to psychiatry is both professional and personal. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education before becoming a nurse practitioner, and I spent years teaching before transitioning fully into nursing. Mental health has shaped my life since childhood, after a close family member was diagnosed when I was eight years old. I witnessed the impact of mental illness on our family, the stigma within our community, and the limitations of a system that often relied heavily on medication without addressing the whole person. Over time, and through my own lived experiences with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and grief, I became committed to practicing differently.
I provide compassionate, culturally aware care rooted in curiosity. I take time to understand your story, explore underlying contributors to your symptoms, and create a plan that may include therapy-informed care, lifestyle changes, supplements, lab work, and, when appropriate, medication. My goal is not simply symptom control, but sustainable healing that supports your mind, body, and spirit.
“Healing does not take place in solitude. It happens in community. ”
Do You…
-Hold everything together for everyone else, but feel like you’re falling apart inside?
-Look accomplished on paper, yet privately struggle with anxiety, racing thoughts, irritability, or exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix?
-Wonder if something is “wrong” with you because you can’t seem to focus, finish what you start, or manage your emotions the way you think you should?
-Feel pressure to be strong, grateful, faithful, and successful, while quietly battling burnout, grief, or trauma that no one fully sees?
OR
Are you hesitant about medication because you’ve seen how it can dull someone’s personality, yet you also know you can’t keep functioning like this?
You’re not broken— and you’re not alone.
Sometimes the missing piece isn’t more willpower, but the right kind of support.
Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, thoughtful, and deeply responsible for others — yet feel anxious, depleted, or overwhelmed inside.
I help you to reclaim balance, clarity, and emotional steadiness through thoughtful psychiatric care that blends longer appointments, nervous system regulation, lifestyle modifications, and, when appropriate, carefully considered medication.
Instead of just adjusting prescriptions and sending you on your way, I help you understand why you feel the way you do and create a plan that supports your whole life—so you can finally feel like yourself again.

Comprehensive, unhurried assessments with collaborative medication decisions when appropriate.
The goal is clarity, stability, and symptom relief without losing your personality or sense of self.
Psychotherapy-Informed Sessions
Supportive, trauma-aware conversations woven into follow-up visits. You leave with insight, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of your emotional patterns.
Herbal Nutraceuticals and Targeted Supplements
Evidence-informed recommendations to support mood, focus, and nervous system balance when clinically appropriate. Used strategically to complement, not complicate, your care.

Breathwork and Nervous System Regulation
Simple, accessible techniques to calm anxiety, reduce overwhelm, and help you feel more grounded in high-pressure moments.
Medication Management
Integrative psychiatry doesn’t mean anti-medication — I can help you find the best medication regimen that helps you feel better without causing unnecessary side effects, and I can also help you reduce your need for medication by using holistic methods to give you extra support.
Root-Cause and Lifestyle Assessment
Exploration of sleep, nutrition, stress load, hormones, and daily habits that may be driving symptoms. This approach supports sustainable change instead of temporary relief.
